The Model E IT Temperature Monitor is a good start for anyone requiring a straight forward, cost effective solution for data centers, server rooms, building management, or any other remote temperature monitoring requirements. Sensatronics offers both a 4 port and 16 port unit that is capable of monitoring any temperature environment from -40° to +140° Fahrenheit (-40° to 60° C). The Model E series connect directly to your network for remote access to temperature data from any web browser allowed to access the network and IP Address provided. The IPSentry IT Temperature Monitoring Add-In is designed specifically for use with all current Sensatronics equipment so you have full feature monitoring, alerting, tracking, and graphing capabilities built right in to the IPSentry software for use with these devices. The IPSentry IT Environmental Monitoring add-in is designed for and specifically supports all of the current Sensatronics temperature and environmental monitoring equipment. - Easy to Setup and Configure
Setting up one of the Sensatronics monitoring units is not complicated at all. Simply setup the unit’s IP Address, Net mask and Gateway and begin monitoring environmental data with either the IPSentry IT Environmental Monitoring Add-In or the IPSentry SNMP Device Monitor. At RGE, we can configure the unit in about 5 minutes and have IPSentry monitoring the device within less than a minute. - Temperature + Humidity Monitoring
Monitoring temperature and humidity at the same physical locations provides you with important environmental conditions that must be monitored to ensure IT devices are kept within manufacturer's published specifications and human comfort levels are kept at customer specification. - Door Status Monitoring
Knowing when a door is open can be an indication of an intrusion. The EM1 provides simple open/closed information. - Dry Contact
If you have a try contact providing simple open/close status, the Model E series can sense this state and IPSentry can trigger alerts based on the status of the dry contact. - Diverse temperature readings from a single unit.
It is generally recommended that external temperature probes be placed throughout your server room or network closet to get a more detailed view of hot spots and closer monitoring of air conditioner function. - Email and Cell Phone Alerts, Server Auto-Shutdown, and more.
Through the use of IPSentry Network Monitoring software, the EM1 solution can send email and SMS alerts to any number of users, trigger external actions, send SNMP traps, and even issue shutdowns of remote servers to avoid overheating in a critical temperature environment. - Real time data readings via web browser.
Sensatronics monitors come with internal web pages which have an auto refresh feature allowing you to view the current temperature in real-time. - SNMP compliant for standards based data collection.
Monitors allow you to use current SNMP network management software saving you time and improved integration into current processes. Utilize the IPSentry SNMP Monitoring add-in to perform monitoring of data readings, delta comparisons, and threshold limits. - SNMP traps to multiple listeners.
Redundancy is very important in critical environments. If one listening server goes down, or a primary monitor link goes down, it's good to know your environmental monitoring will still function by sending SNMP traps to secondary hosts. - Small foot-print and wall mountable.
With a footprint of less than 5"x5"x1", you waste no space locating the primary modules. The built-in flanges allow the Sensatronics base monitors to be mounted anywhere, saving you valuable IT rack space. - Simple screw terminal attachments.
Screw terminals, while not as convenient as RJ12's for quick connect/disconnect, provide for a solid connection between the probes and the unit. This also allows you to make adjustments to the length as well was quickly repair the leads if something should sever the connection - No need for specialized crimping equipment. - Data Warehouse Server Integration
"Pushing" data using BASE64 encoded XML over HTTP gives you a great mechanism of sending all data to a central server, especially if there is more than one location you are monitoring on multiple wide area networks and wish to maintain high security. Download the Manual. (.pdf)
